Bot Permissions

Permissions

The invite link will enable all permissions by default. You're free to reduce the bot scope, but bear in mind that certain features will not work correctly.

All features

View Channels
  • Read channels to see events and commands.
Read Message History
  • Retrieve older messages when prompted.
Send Messages
  • Post log entries and respond to commands.
Mention All Roles
  • To notify roles that can't already be mentioned by @everyone. Role mentions are used in notifications for key claim alerts, invite tracking referral alerts, milestone alerts, etc.
Embed Links
  • Post setup wizards, overviews, and structured logging.
Send Messages in Threads
  • To reply to commands inside threads. If this doesn't happen, feel free to omit.

Publisher, Tickets, Giveaways, Key Pool

Attach Files
  • To attach files sent via tickets and create transcripts.
  • Retrieve key batches from a giveaway or key pool.
  • Export giveaways and key pools.
Manage Roles
  • Giveaways have the optional configuration to track winners by giving them a role. Winners are not eligible for another giveaway until an admin clears the winners. If repeated winners will always be fine, feel free to omit this.
Manage Messages
  • Publisher needs this for the announcement channel(s) to automatically publish the messages.
  • Giveaways have the optional configuration to track winners by giving them a role. When hosting reaction-style giveaways, this permission is required to remove the reaction emoji placed by a previous winner. Button-style giveaways are not impacted and can be omitted safely if exclusively using these.
Manage Channels
  • Tickets needs this to create the private reporter channel under your configured category with the right permission overwrites when a member opens a ticket.

Tickets, Sheet Logger

Manage Threads
  • To archive forum posts on ticket close and provision status/type tags during setup.
  • To apply the moderator-only Fixed tag to a forum post for Sheet Logger. If this optional feature within Sheet Logger is not used, feel free to omit.

Invite Tracker, Milestones

Manage Server
  • To check invite status for the periodic leaderboard as well as the live scan
  • Read server settings to surface actionable items for Milestones.
